Fifteen police stations which succeeded in reducing crimes were rewarded with incentives totalling RM300,000.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar, who presented the awards and incentives here today, said they were selected from 753 police stations which were adjudged in five categories in the police league table award.
In Category A, the Wangsa Maju police station was declared the winner and received RM64,000 in incentive followed first runner-up, the Jinjang police station, Sentul (RM57,300) and second runner-up, the Batu 9 police station, Kajang (RM20,600).
Other stations which received the awards were the Pasir Puteh Seri Alam police station, Johor; Air Jerneh police station, Kemaman, Terengganu; Pendang police station, Kedah; Gunong police station, Bachok, Kelantan; and Wangsa Maju police station, Kuala Lumpur.
