KUALA LUMPUR: Perak DAP secretary and member of parliament for Taiping Nga Kor Ming today apologised to Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir for calling him a "metallic black person".
"To all who feel offended by my remark, I wish to say sorry and apologise to them including Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir," he said in a statement.
However, he insisted that his words had been taken out of context, claiming that "metallic black" was in reference to Zambry and Barisan Nasional's alleged unconstitutional takeover of the Perak government which he said "all Malaysians must oppose and must never forget".
Nga in the statement also said that he regarded all Malaysians as his "brothers and sisters", including Zambry and "I have no hatred for Dr Zambry personally". -- BERNAMA
