Johor Sultan heads list of 919 Perak Award recipients

Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Ismail Almarhum Sultan Iskandar heads the list of 919 people conferred with awards and medals in conjunction with Sultan of Perak Sultan Azlan Shah’s 82nd birthday Monday.

Sultan Ibrahim Ismail received the Darjah Kerabat Diraja Yang Amat Dihormati (DK) while Raja Kecil Tengah of Perak Raja Ahmad Nazim Azlan Shah Raja Ashman received the Darjah Yang Teramat Mulia Darjah Kerabat Azlanii II (DKA II).

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Seri Paduka Sultan Azlan Shah Perak Yang Teramat Dimulia (SPSA) which carries the title Datuk Seri Diraja.
Chief Justice Tun Zaki Tun Azmi received the Darjah Seri Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (SPCM) which carries the title Datuk Seri.

The Darjah Datuk Seri Paduka Mahkota Perak (SPMP), which carries the title Datuk Seri, was conferred on four recipients namely Chief Judge of Malaya Tan Sri Arifin Zakaria, Perak State Secretary Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Hashim, Orang Kaya-kaya Laksamana Raja Mahkota Datuk Mohd Amin Shukeri Ali Akbar and Muneyoshi Ueda, a Japanese philanthropist who is active in hockey.

Three people received the Darjah Datuk Seri Panglima Taming Sari (SPTS) which carries the title Datuk Seri Panglima. They are Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar, Army Field Commander Datuk Wira Ahmad Hasbullah Mohd Nawawi and Navy Fleet Commander Rear Admiral Datuk Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin.

Sultan Azlan Shah also conferred awards to 56 recipients which carries the title Datuk.
Seven of them are recipients of the Darjah Datuk Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (DPCM) namely MIDA Director-General Datuk Jalilah Baba, Perak Executive Council member Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, Treasury Deputy Secretary-General Datuk Puteh Rukiah Abdul Majid, Attorney-General’s Chambers Head of Prosecution Division Datuk Tun Abdul Majid Tun Hamzah, Perak Executive Council member Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin, Malaysian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Zulkifli Adnan and former Media Prima Berhad chairman Datuk Abdul Mutalib Mohamed Razak.

Forty-eight people received the Darjah Datuk Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP) namely Orang Besar Jajahan Manjung Abdul Wahab Azizul Hasan, Selangor Darul Ridzuan and Federal Territory Association Honorary Treasurer Abdul Wahab Jaafar Sidek, Universiti Teknologi Mara Seri Iskandar Campus Director Prof Dr Abdullah Mohamad Said, Ahmad Faizal Abdul Rahman, Mercy Malaysia president Dr Ahmad Faizal Mohd Perdaus, National Sports Council Director-General Datuk Che Zolkples Embong.

Deputy State Legislative Assembly Speaker Hee Yit Foong, former national footballer who is also former Perak coach M. Karathu, Lumut International Yacht Club President Loi Kong Yaw, University of Malaya’s Southeast Asian Studies lecturer Prof Dr Mohammad Raduan Mohd Ariff, Petronas Legal & Corporate Affairs Division Senior General Manager Mohamed Azhar Osman Khairuddin, TNB Perak General Manager Mohd Zahir Md Nagor.

Longman Asia Director Neil Joseph Ryan, State Forestry Director Nik Mohammad Shah Nik Mustafa, Prof Dr Patrick Tan Seow Koon of University of Malaya Medical Faculty, Public Works Department Project Management Senior Manager Salehuddin Mohd Isa, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Acting Deputy Commissioner Samsiah Abu Bakar, CIMB Bank Executive Director Sulaiman Mohd Tahir.

Brother Visitor La Salle Schools Vincent J Corkery, Managing Director and CEO UEM Land Holdings Berhad Wan Abullah Wan Ibrahim, Dwitasik Sdn Bhd Executive Director Wan Mohd Yaacob Wan Salaidin, Group Managing Editor NSTP Zainul Arifin Mohammed Isa, Perak Tengah District Officer Hasim Hasan, Public Service Department Remuneration Division Director Basaruddin Sadali and GPB Corporation Sdn Bhd Chairman Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz.

Asir Victor a/l Asirvatham, Prof Dr Burhanuddin Yeop Majlis, Chan Voon Kow, David Tan Sek Yin, Fumio Ogura from Japan, Ismail Hasbolah, Kamal Ariffin Zaharin, Koh King Ong, Mohamed Razali Mohd Halib @ Khalid, Mohammad Tayyab Ikram, Muhtar Sabino, Nik Mohd Kamil Nik Daud, Richard Edwin Wroth Small, Dr Sharifuddin Abdul Wahab, Abdul Manaf Hashim, Ahmad Zambri Shamsuddin, Dr Ong Keh Ong, Goh Kok Fong, Bhopalan a/l D Muthu, Ahmad Farouk Faizi Abdul Karim and Lau Bak Choon, Md Rais Hussin A. Three people received the Darjah Datuk Pahlawan Taming Sari (DPTS), which carries the title Datuk, namely Armed Forces Assistant Chief of Staff First Admiral Mohamad Roslan Mohamad Ramli, Submarine Commanding Officer First Admiral Mohammad Rosland Omar and Perak Criminal Investigation Department Chief SAC II Datuk Mohd Dzuraidi Ibrahim.

Thirteen people conferred with the Justice of the Peace namely Orang Besar Jajahan Kampar Datuk Zubairi Tajuddin, Malaysian Consumers Association Secretary-General Datuk G. Amarjit Singh Gill, Taiping Umno Division Chief Datuk Ahmad Shalimin Ahmad Shaffie and former Immigration Enforcement Director Datuk Ishak Mohamed.

The Sultan of Perak also conferred the Darjah Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (PCM) to 13 recipients, Darjah Paduka Mahkota Perak (PMP) (64 recipients), Darjah Ahli Cura Si Manja Kini (ACM) (27 recipients) and Darjah Ahli Mahkota Perak (AMP) (218 recipients).

A total of 255 received the Pingat Pekerti Terpilih (PPT), 253 the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) and seven the Pingat Lama Perkhidmatan (PLP).

The first session of the conferment ceremony will take place at Istana Iskandariah, Kuala Kangsar, today.
