PASIR PUTEH, Nov 27 (Bernama) -- Some 103 former members of PAS in the Selising state constituency have joined Umno, according to one of them, Nordin Daud.
Nordin, 48, who is the PAS special information chief of the constituency, said they had joined the Kampung Wakaf Bunut Umno Branch.
"I have come to realise that the PAS struggle does not bring any good to Islam," he told reporters after handing over the membership forms to the Pasir Puteh Umno Division chief Zawawi Othman in Kampung Wakaf Bunut.
Among those who crossed over is Mohd Soleh Mat Hasaan (rpt) Hasaan, 66, the former Kampung Wakaf Bunut PAS Division chief.
