Businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, who exposed the sex video involving a man who is alleged to look like Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, today gave his DNA sample to the police.
Eskay told reporters that he had been asked to go to Bukit Aman to give his DNA sample and additional information to assist in the investigation into the sex video case.
"I gave my DNA sample to the police voluntarily to assist the probe into the sex video case," he told reporters outside the Bukit Aman gate.
He said he was at Bukit Aman from 10am until 1pm and was asked several questions by the police.
Eskay said he would hold a press conference tomorrow to explain the latest situation on the video.
On March 21, the video was shown to several selected journalists for a preview by a group identified as "Datuk T" at the Carcosa Seri Negara, here.
The mystery on Datuk T which means "Trio" was solved at a press conference at a hotel on March 23 when former Melaka chief minister Tan Sri Rahim Thamby Chik, Shazryl Eskay and Perkasa treasurer Datuk Shuib Lazim admitted that they were involved in showing the video.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar recently announced that the recording of the sex video was genuine after being confirmed by local experts who inspected the video.
The police investigation was initiated after Anwar lodged a police report and denied that he was the man shown in the sex video.
