BINTULU, April 12 (Bernama)-- The incident where Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim ticked off a reporter during a press conference in Kuching on Sunday shows the true character of the Opposition leader, said Information Communiction and Culture Ministr Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim.
"Anwar Ibrahim has various facets... he can be charismatic but there are also other sides to him which we might not know, like the one he showed at the press conference (on Sunday).
"Now the media can evaluate who Anwar is really," he told reporters after launching the Bintulu FM radio station at Studio RTM here Tuesday.
Rais, who was asked to comment on the incident, said he hoped the people would now be able to wise up to Anwar.
He said a leader should not take out his frustration on the media no matter what the situation.
"I myself have been in his shoes but I never resorted to using harsh language against members of the media," he said.
Asked whether the incident would work to the advantage of the Barisan Nasional in the Sarawak state eletion this Saturday, Rais said this was for the voters to decide.
In Sunday's incident, Anwar ticked off a reporter who asked him questions related to a sex video reported to feature a man resembling him.
