Pas tak nak report SPRM kah?

WHAT Petra Ecclestone likes doing most is to watch TV with her 29-year-old fiance, entrepreneur James Stunt.

For most people, the activity may need just one room.

But the 22-year-old younger daughter of Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone has reportedly signed one of the biggest property deals in US history - a mansion in Los Angeles she reportedly bought for US$85 million (S$105 million), AP reported.

Not that Petra, dubbed the most spoilt girl in the world, is desperate for a roof over her head.

She already has a six-storey £56-million (S$111 million) home in upscale London, but the US mansion called The Manor could be the launch pad for her model/actress/designer career plans, The Telegraph reported.

Late Hollywood producer Aaron Spelling and his wife, Candy, bought the property, considered the largest residence in southern California, in the early 1980s and tore down the existing house to build the French chateau-style home in 1991.

Situated on 1.9ha in the exclusive Holmby Hills area, the mansion has 56,500 sq ft of floor space. Reports said it had been listed for two years at US$150 million.

Mr Spelling was the producer of Charlie's Angels, Dynasty and Beverly Hills 90210.

The sprawling mansion has a "mere" 123 rooms after Mr Spelling knocked a whole wing off, releasing parking space for 100 cars, reported The Telegraph.

He once quipped: "Big? I'm still trying to find the bathroom."

Which means that Miss Ecclestone will have space to install more than just one TV.

She could even "squeeze" in a bowling alley, fruit machine arcade, barber's shop and beauty salon, four "wet" bars and an indoor skating rink.

Mrs Spelling even had a museum built for her dolls, The Telegraph reported.

Miss Ecclestone, whose wedding is scheduled for August, can cater for 800 guests in just her kitchen alone.

At the wedding, her fiance, Mr Stunt, an enthusiastic collector of Château Pétrus (Bordeaux wine), can show off the wine-tasting room.
