Singapore's Foreign Minister Calls On Muhyiddin




KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 Singapore's Foreign Minister K. Shanmugam who is on a two-day introductory visit to Malaysia, paid a courtesy call to Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at Putrajaya Wednesday.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement here that Shanmugam will also hold separate meetings with his counterpart Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, Ministers in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz and Datuk G. Palanivel, Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal and Defence Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

The statement said that the visit underscores the warm and friendly-ties between the two close neighbours and provides an opportunity for discussions pertaining matters of mutual interests.

Shanmugam, was appointed as the republic's Foreign Minister and Minister for Law on May 21.
