MCA Intensifies Road Show To Reach Out To More Voters

KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 (Bernama) -- To reach out to more voters to regain their support, the MCA will intensify its road show programme in the next few weeks.

MCA secretary-general Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha said, state MCA liaison committees would organise programmes as part of the party's preparation at divisional level to gear up for the coming general election.

"It is an ongoing programme that we started since last year. However, since the election is getting near, we're intensifying it and more MCA leaders will be involved in this programme, with most having been assigned with specific tasks," he said when contacted today.

He said, so far, the programme was held in Taiping (Perak) and Seremban (Negeri Sembilan), adding that it would be held in the coming weekend in Subang Jaya (Selangor).

During the road show, ministers, deputy ministers and state exco members from MCA will go down to meet the people through several programmes organised by the divisions. MCA contested in 40 parliamentary and 90 state seats during the last general election but performed badly when it won only 15 parliamentary and 31 state seats.
