PETALING JAYA: Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua has reiterated that he did not accuse the Government of fraud over the RM6bil procurement of six Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) but had merely asked for more information.
He said the Defence Ministry was being ultra-sensitive and had deflected questions over detailed specifications on the type of ships being acquired.
Which part (in my press statements) did I say there was fraud? All I did was ask for information, Pua said yesterday.
He was responding to comments by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who challenged him to provide evidence to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission so that investigations could be carried out on the alleged fraud and corruption.
