State visits by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his deputy Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, beginning next month, are expected to bring change for the people.
Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said this was because both leaders would probably help to solve relevant issues at the state level during their visits.
"We want to show the people that we have a common goal. We move in one direction that should be observed, understood and interpreted as putting the people first," he said after attending the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister's Visit Programmes Steering Committee meeting here yesterday.
Hishammuddin jointly chaired the meeting with Umno vice-presidents Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.
Hishammuddin said the committee would also submit its report to Muhyiddin, who chairs the main committee comprising all Barisan Nasional component party leaders.
