IPOH, Oct 19 (Bernama) -- Perak State Islamic Religious Affairs Advisor Captain (Rtd) Datuk Najmuddin Elias Al-Hafiz today denied rumours that he had resigned from the post.
Najmuddin, who is also Batu Kurau assemblyman, said the rumours were not true.
"I was totally unaware of the rumours and I hope those who are involved in spreading it will stop doing so.
"Maybe there is a misunderstanding... until today, I''m still the state''s religious advisor and a member of Umno," he told Bernama when contacted here today.
Najmuddin is currently attending the Umno General Assembly 2010 in Kuala Lumpur.
