ALOR GAJAH, Dec 15 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said today that Malaysia is a competitive nation run by competent politicians.
He said that leaders in the ruling party were capable and had formed a good partnership (with investors).
"Today as a result of the partnership, we have worked with the private sector to set up the biggest solar panel manufacturing plant in the world," he said after launching AUO Sunpower Corporation Sdn Bhd.
He said the plant in Rembia here involves an investment of US$1.2 billion and will employ 4,000 people once it is fully operational.
Najib said the plant is vital as a sustainable alternative energy source.
