Bumi-centric policies kept the non-Malay Malaysians out of the civil service, the police and the army. Discrimination drove many out of the service and even overseas. These are facts which all fair-minded Malaysians recognise.
Zahid Hamidi is as 'kurang ajar', as many of his Umno cronies are, to close his mind to these facts and accuse us of lacking patriotism.
Now he arrogantly adds insult to injury by trying to put a different spin to what he had said.
And by the way, do tell us your reason for not joining the police or armed forces if it is not abject lack of patriotism. What is it?
