KUALA LUMPUR: A group of police officers were seen outside PKR deputy president Azmin Ali's house in Ampang last night.
It was learnt that about 20 to 30 policemen went there to serve a notice to him at about 11.30pm.
The notice was later received by Azmin's wife.
The officers were believed to have gone there to serve a notice to him requesting for his assistance in investigations regarding the chaos at a ceramah by Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Taman Melawati on Friday night.
However, Azmin was having a meeting at a hotel also in Ampang at that time.
It was reported on Sunday that two men who tried to stop the police from dispersing the crowd that gathered at the ceramah were arrested.
There were some shoving and pushing between the supporters and police, resulting in the arrest of the two.
When contacted by The Star, Azmin said he was informed by his wife of the incident.
“She told me that the notice did not state a reason for me to appear at Ampang district police headquarters at 10am tomorrow (Monday),” he added.
