The above scenario is very common in a Chinese-led organization, be it in workplaces or business ventures. One might rebut that similar scenario can be seen in Malay-led organization ie. government bodies whereby the Malays filled most of the posts.
There are many reasons why there aren't many non-Malays in government offices:-
1. Other races are not interested to work in government agencies because of its low-pay.
2. Many of other races are still not very fluent in national language thus not qualified to work in government agencies.
3. The Chinese especially those who came from Chinese education background are not comfortable to work in Malay dominated places as they are not used to mix around with other races since birth.
4. The Chinese are too proud to be bossed around by other races, especially Malays.
5. Some of them, especially Chinese, have been taught at an early age to hate the Malays, the Malay-government, the Kings and Islam thus not want to have anything to do with the Malays, what more work in a government agency.
On the other hand, the Malay-led government has never discriminated the Chinese or other races in terms of ensuring equal opportunities in education, economics and social affairs should they work in government agencies or anywhere else in Malaysia.
Despite it all, DAP has been quite successful in manipulating the Chinese into believing that the government is discriminating the non-Malays through its 'Malay Rights' policy.
In actual fact, the Malay Rights were written only to help the Malays to be able to strive and be equally competent with other races in their very own motherland. The policy has never caused the Chinese or other races to suffer or to be left behind.
With the Chinese dominating the economy, having the Malays to give up their rights would only trigger a time bomb made of anger and dissatisfaction, and this is what the government is trying to avoid.
Although the BN government is constantly being accused of discriminating the non-Malays, Malaysian Chinese continue to prosper under BN and Malaysia continues to move forward without much trouble. Therefore, there must be something very right with the decision to protect the Malay Rights by the BN government.
What would happen without the Malay Rights policy can now be seen clearly in Penang under DAP's rule. So far, DAP's equality hasn't been translated into fairness. DAP has been openly discriminating the non-Chinese by demolishing their business premises as well as their homes.
Other races may never have the chance to prosper and advance further under DAP's ruling. DAP, being mentored by PAP of Singapore will ensure that only the Chinese rules, dominates and own everything and that no other races may come as close to compete with them. If they even see a potential competitor, they would just kill it off.
Just in case you haven't heard, our legendary P.Ramlee may be one of the first to taste PAP's first hand discrimination, domination and oppression. P.Ramlee was technically thrown out by the Singapore's leaders, (namely Lee Kwan Yew), of Jalan Ampas.
They then manipulated him into starting over in Kuala Lumpur, before 'killing' him off eventually; all because he was seen as having the potential to post a 'threat' through his patriotic-related films and for planning to form a Union for Jalan Ampas workers.
And what is happening in Penang today is just a reflection of the same autocratic, biased and mean leadership of the racist, chauvinist, kiasu Chinese like the PAP of Singapore.
Now, Penang DAP's committee lineup has proven that Penang belongs to first, the Lim's. Second, the Singh's who are willing to kow-tow to the Lim. And third, it belongs to the Chinese alone.
Equality…Kit Siang's ass!
