KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic along the North-South Expressway (PLUS) heading north at KM260, was reduced to a snail's pace when a huge fallen bolder blocked one lane of the expressway at the Menora Tunnel in Jelapang near Ipoh last night.
A PLUS spokesman said the bolder that fell in front of the entrance to the tunnel, blocked one lane, causing traffic to slow down.
"Work and cleaning up the debris is going on and road users need not worry. They must follow traffic signs and follow instructions along the road and drive carefully.
"Traffic flow remains smooth after the tunnel," he told Bernama last night.
Meanwhile, traffic flow remains slow for South-bound traffic, especially from the Nilai to Seremban stretch but smooth after Seremban," he said.
No accidents were reported.
