Located in the northern part of Sarawak, Miri was once a very prosperous oil and timber town. It also functions as a gateway to the northeast region of Sarawak and Brunei. Miri, the second largest city in Sarawak, is strategically located and is within easy reach of national parks, heritage and adventure travel destinations and some of the best scuba diving sites in Borneo Island.
Miri town has been growing rapidly and the city is now booming. It is known as the shopping and entertainment destination especially for visitors from Brunei.
